A chaque saison son repas bio, le Département a proposé son repas estival et 100% bio dans ses 111 collèges. A cette occasion, Virginie Tinland, Vice-présidente déléguée à l’Education est allée au collège Sainte Appoline de Courdimanche pour déguster ce repas aux côtés des collégiens. Elle était accompagnée d'Alexandre Pueyo délégué au Développement durable et Patricia José déléguée à la Culture. Près de 30% de produits bio et locaux sont déjà aux menus des collèges. « Dans la sélection des produits comme dans leur utilisation, le Département a l’ambition de proposer des repas de qualité. Et à des prix ajustés, a rappelé Virginie Tinland. Nous sommes particulièrement attentifs à ce que le développement du bio n’impacte pas le le coût de la restauration scolaire pris en charge par les familles. » Le Val d'Oise organise tout au long de l'année, des actions de sensibilisation des collégiens à une alimentation saine et équilibrée. Il produit 4,8 millions de repas par an et privilégie les circuits courts en facilitant l’accès des producteurs locaux à la restauration scolaire de ses collèges.
